SAT®
The SAT® originally called the Scholastic Aptitude Test is an International standardized test conducted by the College Board, a private non-profit organization, for college admissions in the United States. For international students SAT® is offered 4 times a year out of USA- In October, December, March & May.
PSAT®
The Preliminary SAT® known as PSAT® is a practice version of the SAT® exam. It is a standardized test conducted by the College Board and co-sponsored by National Merit Scholarship Corporation ( NMSC ) in the US. Younger students of grade 9th and 10th are eligible to take the test. The scores from PSAT® determines eligibility for the National Merit Scholarship Programme.
LSAT®
The Law School Admission Test (LSAT®) is a half-day standardized test administered six times each year at designated testing centers throughout the world. The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) administers the LSAT for prospective law school candidates. It is designed to assess reading comprehension as well as logical and verbal reasoning proficiency. The test is an integral part of the law school admission process in the United States, Canada (common law programs only), the University of Melbourne, Australia, and a growing number of other countries.
GRE®
GRE®, The Graduate Record Examination is a standardized test for all graduate schools in the United States. The GRE® is conducted by Educational Testing Service ( ETS ). The first universities to experiment with the test on their students were Harvard University, Yale University, Princeton University, and Columbia University.
GMAT®
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT® ) is a computer adaptive test (CAT®) intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a graduate management program, such as an MBA. It requires knowledge of certain specific grammar and knowledge of certain specific algebra, geometry, and arithmetic. According to the test owning company, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the GMAT® assesses analytical writing and problem-solving abilities, while also addressing data sufficiency, logic, and critical reasoning skills that it believes to be vital to real-world business and management success. It can be taken up to five times a year. No more than 8 times in total. Attempts must be at least 16 days apart. GMAT® is administered in standardized test centers in 114 countries around the world.
IELTS™/TOEFL®
The International English Language Testing System, or IELTS™, is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. It is jointly managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS™ Australia and Cambridge Assessment English, and was established in 1989. IELTS is one of the major English-language tests in the world, others being the TOEFL®, TOEIC©, PTE: A, and OPI/OPIc. IELTS™ is accepted by most Australian, British, Canadian, Irish and New Zealand academic institutions, by over 3,000 academic institutions in the United States, and by various professional organizations across the world.
– IELTS Exam is conducted almost every week (Depending on location). Register yourself as early as possible.
– Last Registration deadline is 2 weeks prior to the test (try to plan early)
– IELTS exam is conducted on Saturdays or Thursdays only.
– Global Test Dates: British Council schedules IELTS Academic Test 48 days per year and IELTS General Training is offered 24 days per year.
– Local Test Dates: Test days may vary in your local center.
TOEFL® is a Test of English as a Foreign Language. TOEFL® tests the international students’ usage and understanding of North American English as it is spoken, written and heard in college and university settings. The TOEFL® test is developed and administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS), which sets the questions, conducts the test, and sends each examinee the score report.
